The White 9700 Harvest Boss was a large-format combine built in the mid-1980s by White Farm Equipment (WFE). This high-capacity harvester was ahead of its time in size and power, but its reign was short-lived. With the sale of the WFE combine line to Massey Ferguson, the 9700 and its technology was absorbed into its new parent ownership. Today, these machines are almost antiques, although a few combines can still be found out in fields serving their (mechanically-inclined) owners well.
